Below are steps outlining how to complete Basic Level training This allows you to begin your Gilwell training and achieve your Gilwell Woggle. More importantly, it gives you a greater understanding of your role in the Rover section, and how to bring growth and development to you and your Crew. You also have the opportunity to achieve a Certificate III in Frontline Management and a Certificate III in Leadership (with a Level Two First Aid Certificate).
The process to begin your training is as follows:
Step 1. Go to www.sait.scouts.com.au
Step 2. Select "Victoria" as your Branch
Step 3. Enter your Scout Registration Number
If you don’t know your registration number you can access it here:

Step 4. Enter your default password. This is your date of birth in the following format:
DD/MM/YYYY - Note that you must add the "/" for the password to work
Step 5. Change your password and enter a "secret question."
Step 6. You will then be redirected to the Rover training page.
Here you will be required to complete the following modules (all dot points):
- How Scouting Began
- Basic Scouting Knowledge
- Basic Leadership
- Personal Skill Development
- The USP of Scouting
- Introduction to the Patrol System
The following are the only components required to be done if you have already completed a Basic Common Core in another section of Scouting.
- Basic Sectional Knowledge
- Basic Programming
- Basic Organisational Management
- Basic Outdoors and the Environment
Step 7. Go to a Rover Basic Sectional Techniques Course!
