ANZAC Day 2012
On 25th April 2012 is the annual ANZAC Day March in the City of Melbourne. This year, due to a number of major works happening in the city the structure of the march has changed. As a result, the march will be beginning on the south side of the Princes Bridge. This year due to the change, we will need a number of Rover Scouts to assist with pedestrian control, marshalling and other activities. This is a combined all section activity for Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers.
If you or your crew is interested in helping, please get in touch with the ANZAC Day Service Team by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. As with previous years, we will be booking out the upper level of Bridie O'Reillys for lunch and watching the ANZAC Day Footy Match of Essendon vs Collingwood.

Scouts Australia (specifically the Rover Section), RotorACT and Rotary are undertaking a partnership project in Timor Leste (formerly known as East Timor) to further develop the community. This involves infrastructure work, community development and eventually building up their Scout Association. Scouts Australia have committed to supporting Timor Leste in their endeavours to grow their association. At this stage we are looking for expressions of interest from Rovers who are interested in participating in the project and being involved in a project that fits well with the Scouts of the World Award.
